Great ideas never come to your mind in the split of a second. In fact ideas nothing more than just a piece of raw diamond that needs to be polished again and again. At the very incubation of idea, the idea is just too vague that you can not desrcibe to your friend in an effective manner. So there is a need to work on that idea and make clearer and clearer every time. There is no shortcuts in life.
So if you have an idea and you think it is worth giving a shot, then first work out on idea for quite a time until you are in a position to explain it to a layman within 3-5 minutes. And observe if it makes an impression.
